God looks on the heart

The human race is an amazing thing; there are billions of people on the earth today and untold numbers that have lived throughout history. I guess God wants an enormous family and He keeps adding all the time.

What’s so fantastic is that there are no two individuals who are exactly alike. No two people share the exact same features even if they are born as identical twins. One twins hair might recede a bit more than the other or his smile might be a little wider and so on.

We as humans notice these things; we look on people and judge them based upon what we see. This is usually unfair but that is how it is and no man that I’ve known is completely free from this trait.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

To look at someone and see them as God sees them is something we all should strive for. To look past his or her beauty and contour should be our only intent. To not see their shortcomings or perceived deformity and look only for the inside light that dwells in all of us.

No one is perfect and not one soul can live up to the standards it would take to stand in Gods presence on his own or by his own merits. Still we have a savoir Jesus Christ who stood in our place susan boyle 1010report God looks on the hearttaking our sin and the enmity that was between us and God. He was our sacrifice and it’s because of him that we can stand before God as white as snow. Without sin consciousness or fear you and I can come boldly to the throne of God and ask our petition and give Him glory.

Our brothers and sisters in this world are no better than us and we are not superior to them. Let us look upon each other with love knowing that Christ died for all and that it is Christ in us, the hope of glory. And THAT is a beautiful thing to behold.

Here is an example of that type of beauty, not that it displays God per se but how it shows us as humans and how looking on the outward appearance can and most times will, deceive us.

Tithing and the abundant life

Tithing can be a challenge, I don’t deny. It also is a key to living the abundant life. Giving and receiving is a natural law that God has set up and it works for the good people and for the not so good. The reason the dead see is so dead is that it only has inlets, no outlets. You cannot breathe in until you exhale. There is no crop until you first plant a seed. You cannot receive from God unless you first give. This is how it works and it is no different just because we’re talking about money.

Our lives are to be ’super’ abundant, lacking nothing and full to running over. No one is singled out in this verse to get more or less, it’s available to all. It’s up to you to receive this word and agree with God that this is His will for your life. He does the rest.

We finally came to a stop in a ditch on the side of the road. The semi by now was a 1/4 mile away but pulling over to stop. Everybody seemed ok but our drivers left arm was scratched up pretty bad but didn’t seem broken and we were amazed it wasn’t worse. The whole side of the wagon was crushed and the windows blown out.
